Providing Grass Roots Support for Emerging Artists
SEAGRASS is a UK charity that will offer emerging artists support through the early stages of their professional careers.
It is aimed at helping young adult musicians, singers and songwriters on the South Coast to create, record and perform wonderful original music.
Many young artists face challenges in the early stages of their careers which prevent them realising their potential.
Seagrass will offer support to singers, songwriters and bands with the potential to perform professionally.
Selected artists will be offered a tailored support package, designed to help them progress.
Hire or loan of equipment
Subsidised or funded rehearsal and recording facilities
Funding for input from session musicians/producers
Subsidies for performances at key events/festivals
Networking events with other artists and with guest speakers/tutors
Mentoring from local experts/tutors/artists
Exposure through the Seagrass website
Exposure to venues, festivals, promoters, agents
Help with social media, branding, promotion
